A Statement from Officers and Ambassadors of International Peace at Farhangian University of Qazvin Province, Condemning the Assassination of Dr. Ali Larijani Following the Brutal Attacks by the American-Zionist Regime To the Members of the United Nations Security Council, We, as Officers and Ambassadors of International Peace at Farhangian University of Qazvin Province, present this statement to the United Nations Security Council. Firstly, we extend our condolences on the assassination of Dr. Ali Larijani, a prominent scientist, political figure, and an Iranian elite. This criminal act targets not only an individual but also seeks to destroy scientific progress and intellectual leadership both within and outside the country. Dr. Larijani's dedication to national development has left an indelible mark in Iran's history. We align with the letter expressed by Iran's Ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, that the Security Council's silence and inaction encourages entities like Israel to normalize the targeted killing of government officials. This violence, if left unchecked, threatens not only the Islamic Republic of Iran but also the stability and security of international relations. Farhangian University, as an institution committed to nurturing future teachers and scientists, believes that such terrorist acts are in contradiction to values such as mutual respect, which the United Nations is dedicated to upholding. We urge the United Nations Security Council to: ✓ Condemn this act unequivocally. ✓ Take decisive actions to prevent the repetition of such crimes and ensure the safety of government and academic figures worldwide. The international community must recognize that failing to address such crimes will lead to further instability and endanger global peace. We call upon the Security Council to act decisively and uphold justice at this critical moment, fulfilling its mission to maintain international peace and security.
